And then there were three :(

Our household is feeling sad right now. We had to take one of our cats to the vet last night to be put to sleep.

Hank was a bit of a scraggy stray when she moved in on us seven or so years ago. Bigger than our other cats she was named Hank by our daughter after the baby in Jacqueline Wilson’s “Bed & Breakfast Star” – we had assumed Hank was a he initially). She became a very sweet and loving cat – a true lap cat. We love all our cats, but Hank was a real character.

The house is feeling a bit empty right now.

RIP Hank.

Oh, Darcy, huge hugs and raised glasses from me and feline family Itty-Bitty, Foster, & Cinder.

And let's assume that if there is an afterlife, Hank is out hunting with my Jai, Bear, & Allie.

So sorry. :-(

BTW, my avatar is a handsome swell by the name of Lunchbox (for obvious reasons) who I fostered for quite some time 'til I could get him a good home - please don't tell my girls, they're jealous beasties!

Sorry to hear that Darce. We lost one this summer too. They curl up in the heart of our lives and leave a big hole when they go.

My sympathies....we had to put down our 14 year old family dog last week. My mother's house has never seemed so quiet.

Sorry to hear about Hank, we had to put our cat Patches to sleep on Monday also. He was 17 and our only pet so we miss him a lot. The missus is talking about getting a couple of kittens soon.

RIP Patches & Hank

DRC, I had brood of 4 (All related) and they went one by one. Putting my favorite down really cost me emotionally. I have deep admiration for ALL pet owners in good times and bad ones.
God Bless!

I know what you're going through. I had to put down one of my wife's cats last week and she's still having a hard time with it. I surely do not look forward to having to put my dogs down when the time comes. I hope things get better for you soon.

Lost my Pal Squeaky 4 years ago. He stayed with me for weeks I was desperately ill. Certainly helped me get beter. Squeaky was a "talking" cat of great humour and intelligence. I know just how you feel.

I now have my son's cats, Mork and Monkey which look like they will fill a very large hole in my life.
